Emirates Nears Milestone Deal for Boeing 777 Jets to Expand World’s Largest Widebody Fleet

Boeing and Emirates are reportedly on the verge of finalizing a substantial order for 777 jets, a move that would further solidify the airline’s status as the operator of the world’s largest fleet of widebody aircraft.

Sources familiar with the ongoing negotiations revealed that the deal is anticipated to involve “several dozen” 777 jets, as reported by Bloomberg and Reuters. This prospective agreement would supplement Emirates’ existing order backlog, which already includes 155 of the cutting-edge 777X aircraft.

In addition to the 777s, there are indications that Emirates is considering incorporating some of Boeing’s 787 aircraft into the order. Concurrently, the airline is said to be engaged in discussions with Airbus about the possibility of acquiring A350 planes.
